I am poemI related my I am poem to my art by making it all about art. My poem
is about my love of drawing so I did my background with pencils and other art related things. I am most proud of the shading because I've been practicing shading a lot and I've been getting good at it and this helped me practice a lot. |

print makingI am most proud of how much I thought about the design and what i need to do first to get the colors i wanted.
To make a print art, you have to take the linoleum and carve out with a sharp carving tool, the parts and sections you want white. roll out the ink by using a brayer which is kind of like a rolling pin or paint roller. then cover the linoleum in ink. starting with the lighter colors and don't ink it with black until youve done all the other colors you want first. that is important because black is a mix of every other color so doing black first and then trying to put another color over it wont work. then press it onto the paper to make a print. the parts that were carved out are white and the other parts become colored. then carve out anything you want to leave in that first color. that part will stay that color when you ink again. once you carve again, cover it in ink with another color you want and press it over the first print. that recolors it and leaves a detailed print on the paper. if you want the background to be a solid color, instead of carving it all out you can use chatter, which is like taking out most of the background but still leaving little pieces in it. |
